During the Flood, Go to Noe’s Park

 

Even if it’s stormy outside, there’s always a place to play in the neighborhood: Upper Noe Recreation Center (and Joby’s Dog Run), at 295 Day St. near Sanchez Street. Park users can find indoor sports and invigorating classes, such as soccer, baby fitness, pilates, theater, and Bow-Wow Baking.

The rec center will host two teams in the citywide youth basketball league, which revs up on Jan. 7. For the scoop, call 415-831-6800. Registration for all other winter classes starts Dec. 15. Sign up online at www.sfreconline.org or drop by the rec center. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The dog run, at the Church Street end of the park, is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. For rec center information call 415-970-8061.
