In a last-ditch effort to raise funds for roof repairs, the administration of the Noe Valley Ministry has formally declared itself a congregation of Native Americans, the Presbawatakees, and is therefore eligible to operate a gaming facility on the premises.

This move continues a trend begun by other churches in Noe Valley. In order to legally continue their weekly bingo games, St. Paul's parishioners are now officially counted as Cathommanches, while St. Philip's members are confirmed Chippewatholics.
